Cold, unforgiving, lifeless
That what it is
Not bright like a sunny sky
No bluebirds singing tunes today
Just the sound of violins
And a lonely heart
Breaking at the sound
Used to be of laughter
Used to be of love
Used to be a blanket to keep us warm
It was your clothes
It was your life
It was your smell
It was perfect
It was all we needed
It was all we had
It was the color of your lifeless lips
It was the color of your open eyes
It was the color of my tears when I cried
It was what had you
It was what took you
It was what killed you
I miss you
I love you
Come back
Then I wouldn't be so...
Blue.
Teach me your poetic ways. (bows repeatedly in your awesome-ness)
Through smart use of repetition, this poem embeds into my mind a strong seed, a fraction of the emotion in which the speaker must be feeling. Thus making the poem's saddening story linger which I find the most important thing. Things that linger are things that are great.
And this poem was great.
Stay awesome.
